Fat Acceptance

I’ve been tagged over at http://notjustamilitarywife.today.com/. So it’s my turn to wow you with eight random facts about myself.

1. I am a 24-year-old, 5′6″ tall, 220-pound married woman.

2. December is my celebration month. I celebrate my birthday on the 10th, my anniversary on the 22nd, and Christmas on the 25th.

3. I hated fashion growing up. I didn’t care what I looked like. I wouldn’t even run a comb through my hair for days at a time. My favorite clothes were bright colored t-shirts and sweatpants that never matched. My poor mother had to style my hair and pick out my clothes for church every week until I was 16. If she hadn’t, I would have looked like a hobo.

4. My favorite holidays are Christmas and Easter. I’m a Christian, so I enjoy the religious emphases on these days. My least favorite holiday is Halloween. Skeletons and ghosts scare me. (When I was a little girl, I would cry because I knew I had a skeleton inside me.)

5. The first story I ever wrote (in third grade) was about a talking lizard named Nymphy. He was patterned after the lizard that lived on my family’s kitchen window one summer.

6. I had my first job at 16, working for a RE/MAX real estate company as a receptionist. I continued the job in the summers in between college semesters. Since I’ve  graduated and moved to a different state, I work at another RE/MAX office as an admin assistant. I can’t get away from RE/MAX.

7. I lived in South Korea for a summer teaching English. When I came back to the States, I left a little piece of my heart in Seoul. I want to go back someday.

8. My husband is 6′5″ tall. I used to think that was giant–until I met my boss, who’s 6′8″.
